NOVACAP Receives DSCC 87106 Approval

Effective October 1, 2002, Novacap has been added to U. S. Government drawing DSCC 87106 as a suggested source of supply.

Product governed by this spec are characterized by a low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and equivalent series inductance (ESL). This makes them especially useful replacements for tantalum and electrolytic capacitors as input and output filters for switch mode power supplies. In addition, these capacitors can be used in high capacitance discharge circuits, resonant tank circuits and in snubber applications.

In addition to DSCC 87106, Novacap is also approved on several DSCC drawings for both X7R and NPO radial leaded capacitors, bringing the total number of approvals to 11 DSCC drawings.
